Highlights of the Classic Northern Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport / Arusha Airport
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional driver and transferred comfortably to your accommodation in Moshi. After check-in, enjoy a freshly prepared meal and take time to relax after your journey.
Later, you will receive a short pre-safari briefing from our safari team, outlining the adventure ahead. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the lodge’s facilities, including the swimming pool, garden, bar, and restaurant, as you prepare for your safari experience.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a diverse and picturesque wildlife sanctuary famous for its ancient baobab trees, riverine forests, acacia woodlands, and open savannah landscapes. Enjoy an extensive game drive, offering excellent opportunities to see large elephant herds, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and a variety of antelope species.
The park is also home to predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas, and jackals, with occasional sightings of rarer animals including lesser kudu, eland, and African wild dogs.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, whose name comes from the Maasai word meaning “endless plains.” En route, you may choose to visit a Maasai Village for a cultural experience or explore Olduvai Gorge, famously known as the Cradle of Humankind, where early human fossils were discovered.
Continue the journey with a scenic game drive through the Serengeti, spotting wildlife as you make your way to your camp or lodge.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a full day in Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives in one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and the world-famous Great Wildebeest Migration, the Serengeti is home to vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope, as well as their natural predators including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, often seen around the rocky kopjes scattered across the plains.
Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before traveling toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries, measuring 600 meters deep and spanning over 265 square kilometers.
The crater floor offers exceptional game viewing, with chances to spot rare black rhinos, large prides of lions, cheetahs, zebras, eland, and gazelles, alongside more than 20,000 large mammals. Flamingos and other bird species are often seen at the soda lake on the crater floor. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, beautifully set beneath the steep escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. The park features diverse ecosystems, including evergreen groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, open grasslands, swamps, and the expansive alkaline lake itself.
This rich variety of habitats supports abundant wildlife and birdlife. During your game drive, look out for large elephant herds, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, impala, bushbuck, and waterbuck. Lake Manyara is also famous for its rare tree-climbing lions and lively primates such as blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and large troops of olive baboons.

Day 7: Departure – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Enjoy a relaxed morning at leisure, depending on your flight schedule. Later, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your onward flight home, marking the end of your memorable Northern Tanzania safari.
